Roughing It In Style is closing its doors in Madison after 22 years upon the retirement announcement of key business partner Bo Palenske.

Roughing It In Style was founded in 1997 by Sue and Gerry Torgeson, and they teamed up a few years later with Palenske, a family friend for many years who added his exteriors and landscaping experience to the Torgesons’ expertise in log home design and building.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have had Bo, a treasured friend, and business partner, as part of the success of our store and family business. We wish him much joy in his retirement,” said the Torgesons.

The store closing sale will be open to the public beginning November 1 at 5262 Verona Rd. in Madison, and the building is also up for sale.

The companies’ two other stores in Harshaw, Wi, and Fort Collins, Co will remain open and operated by the Torgeson family.

More information on the store closing sale is available at  Inquiries on the sale of the building can be directed to Daniel G. Roseliep at (608) 234-4482.
