Creating a stunning kitchen is a lot like crafting an incredible meal. You need quality ingredients, but most of all, you need someone skilled at putting everything together. Your Roughing It In Style custom cabinet designer is just that person!
STEP 1: DESIGN CONSULTATION & DETAIL DISCUSSION
Whether you are working from blueprints or working within the scope of an existing kitchen, your initial meeting with your Roughing It In Style designer is all about sharing your vision for your kitchen and walking them through how you’ll be using your space.
You’ll talk over the scope, budget, and timeline of the project, and discuss the requirements of the installation contractor you’ve chosen. If you have photos or examples of elements you’d like to see in your new custom cabinets, this is when you’ll share those ideas.
Your designer will take plenty of notes, gather the measurements, and ask specific questions to help you define your vision. Everything from flooring, paint color, countertops, backsplashes, finishes, and fixtures will play a role in complementing your custom cabinets, so getting into the details is key!
STEP 2: DESIGN & LAYOUT
This is when your designer takes all of the ingredients you’ve given them and start cooking!
Your designer will begin drawing up the design for your custom cabinets, choosing colors, materials, finishes, and hardware, and revising the design as they seek your input along the way. Once the design is dialed in, the layout will be drafted and the whole package will be presented to you for your final seal of approval.
From there, you’re on your way! Your designer will start coordinating with the tradespeople who will craft your custom cabinets, and you can start focusing on all of the great meals you’ll soon be whipping up.
STEP 3: FINAL MEASUREMENT, BUILD, & DELIVERY
After one final review of the measurements and layout in consultation with your installer, Your Roughing It In Style custom cabinets will be expertly handcrafted to your designer’s exacting specifications and delivered to your home.
